What is FIR Radiant Heat and why do we use it in the Yoga Studio?
All heat is not equal! At YYoga, we use Far Infrared Heating. This form of heat has many health benefits it is a safer more hygienic way to heat
Far Infra Red radiation is the good part of the sun’s thermal energy. This is what we feel when we enjoy the warm rays of the sun on our bodies even though it is nothing like ultraviolet radiation, which can cause sun cancer. Instead, this safe method of heating is now commonly used in medical care equipment such as heat lamps and baby incubators.
By helping to increase blood circulation without putting strain on the heart, this form of heat raises the level of oxygen and white blood cells in our blood, which helps the immune system to function well. The better the immune system, the better our overall health.
Some of the many benefits of Far Infrared Heating are:
1) Far Infrared heat expands capillaries
Stimulates increased blood flow, regeneration, circulation and oxygenation.
2) Far Infrared heat is excellent for detox
Scientists in Japan report that in the FIR treatment of clogged capillary vessels, heat expands the capillaries and then initiates the start of a process to dissolve hidden toxins. Far Infrared thereby promotes elimination of fats, chemicals and toxins from the blood: Poisons, carcinogenic heavy metals – toxic substances from food processing – lactic acid, free fatty acids, and subcutaneous fat associated with aging and fatigue – excess sodium associated with hypertension – and uric acid which causes pain. This form of heat has a positive effect on the fibroblasts (connective tissue cells necessary for the repair of injury). 6) Far Infrared heat relieves nervous tension and relax auto-neuro muscles
